This course will provide students with the nature and purposes of criminal law and general principles of criminal responsibility and defenses. This course also covers the basic elements of criminal offenses and criminal procedure with an emphasis on the challenges placed on police during investigation, prosecutorial practice and the requirements of a fair trial.
